At St Augustine's Academy, our pupils are given a voice and make contributions towards how the school is run.  Our Pupil Leaders play a very important role in this.

Near the beginning of every academic year, each class from Reception through to Year 6 vote for two pupils, a boy and a girl, who they believe are excellent roles models and would be good ambassadors for our school.  These children then form the School Council.   The School Council help to organise fundraising events such as Children in Need; represent the school at various community events and even help to recruit new staff to our school.

In addition,  to our School Council, pupils also have the opportunity to become Worship Leaders (who plan Collective Worship for the school),  a Safety Squad, Junior Road Safety Officers,  Eco Leaders and Sports Leaders.   The school also has House Captains for the school's 4 houses: Earth, Mars, Neptune and Venus.  Each group of leaders play a vital role in helping our school to grow and develop.

If your child has a suggestion or comment about school life then please encourage them to raise it with a Pupil Leader who will then share the idea at one of their meetings.
